TIMING: You can purchase a permanent Trail Tag at R100 which you will use at all Dirtopia Trail Run events. If you have a Trail Tag from previous events, please bring it along and wear on right wrist. Runners also have the option of renting a temporary Amarider Trail tag at R25 and will be given to you at registration with your race number. The temporary tag will be taken off at the finish line. Winners are 'caught' at the finish line and remember that late entries or any changes on the day of the event (at registration) will only show on the results one or two days after the event.

TRAIL TAG:

1. Only run with your own TrailTag
2. Please return your rental tags at the finish line.
3. The reader is powerful enough to read through arm warmers etc.

Runners must stay on the marked trail. Listen to the MC at the start and follow yellow boards. Do not turn unless there is an arrow. Follow signs in front of you! Race numbers must be visible at all times, especially at the finish line.

Please do not litter! We also urge you to not leave valuables in your vehicle. We can keep car keys/valuables at registration for you.

Resolutions for 2026 is under way and what better way than running through beautiful singletrack on Dirtopia’s trail network with spectacular views of the Winelands and Table Mountain in the distance!

There are three distances to choose from starting at Dirtopia Trail Centre on the historic Muratie wine farm; so whether you a beginner or more experienced/fitter, there is something for all abilities.

The year of the Fire Horse promises new beginnings…

VENUE: Dirtopia Trail Centre, Muratie Wine Farm, on Knorhoek Road, R44 Stellenbosch
REGISTRATION: From 06h15 at Dirtopia Trail Centre

DISTANCES & ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS:

6.5km loop – This green route offers wide singletrack on the ABC trail and return via Exit trail. Beautiful views of Simonsberg and the Winelands below.

11.5km route – The middle route will give you more of a work-out with more singletrack and extra loops than the short route winding in the forest sections to Clapham Junction. Refreshment station at the look-out point Gillooly’s and back to the finish via Ho Chi Mihn trail.

17.5km route – A work-out for the fit trail runners only. No walkers allowed on this one-various singletrack trails that head up towards the famous NeverSayNeverEndingAgain trail…hello 2026!

START TIMES: 17.5km: 07h00, 11.5km: 07h15, 6.5km: 07h30

All PRE-ENTRANTS who are under 18 years of age will pay R75 entry fee for 6km only! Note that late entries under 18 will pay the normal late entry fee.

Timing by Amarider Trail Tag is optional. Rent a blue tag (R25) for the event OR buy a permanent one for R100 to be used at all Dirtopia events. Live results for pre-entries. Late entries & changes will be done by the Tuesday after the event.

GENERAL INFO: The refreshment station will serve an energy drink, cold water and fruit plus Coke at the finish for all.

Stay for the lucky draw and stand a chance to win great products to use in your sport. Coffee will be available from early morning, and Farm Kitchen will be open for meals from 9am. Grab'n go meals will be available from early morning like egg & bacon buns and pancakes.
