Simonsberg Trails have re-opened (02 April 2016)
Simonsberg Conservancy Fire Rehab:
People are able to make donations to the Simonsberg Conservancy using the reference Fire Rehab Plants or Fire Rehab Trails. These funds will be used to rebuild the trails and plant new trees as well as retrieve seed from other plants in the area and moving them to the damaged area. Please ensure you use the correct reference so the funds are processed correctly. We want to thank everyone taking part in The Fire Ride and contributions already received.

The existing Delvera trails will be incorporated into the Simonsberg system which means that riders, trail runners and hikers can now access all the trails with a single annual pass. The new Simonsberg routes is a joint initiative between Dirtopia and local landowners, with the Simonsberg Conservancy being the main beneficiary of all permits sales.
Regular rides will leave from the shop at Welgevonden and a full bicycle workshop is available. The Trail Centre is your one stop shop for trail & event info, basic supplies, bike sales & rentals.
Since 1998, Dirtopia has been a key driver of the MTB industry through events, trail construction and profiling the sport. The Welgevonden Trail Centre continues this drive and is sure to enhance the fantastic Stellenbosch mountain bike trail opportunities even further.
A special thanks to all the land owners of the Simonsberg Conservancy!
